How Much Does it Really Cost, and How Long Will it Take Me To Build My Business?

The initial fee to become Certified is $10,000. On top of this, you will need to be able to fund yourself for a week of Certification classes in Charleston, SC. You will also have to fund the growth of your own business. You must also keep up your Certification annually by attending an annual, three-day Certification event. The cost to attend the event is $2,500 and includes your accommodation, breakfast, lunch, receptions and dinner, plus all of the continuing Certification training. Once Certified, we believe that it will take you at least 4-months to build your business to cash-flow breakeven.

Can Anyone Become Certified?

We are afraid not. The first filter that tends to disqualify people is that there is no shared passion for the purpose i.e. it's all about the money, and not at all about eradicating poverty i.e. no interest in doing well by doing good. There has to be a good fit for both parties, plus we want to do everything we possibly can to ensure people are not paying a Certification Fee that they can't afford, or, are very likely to lose. There are scholarships available for qualified people.

How is Certification Structured & What Does The Training Entail?

If your application for certification is accepted, you will need to complete the initial certification and training course that is held in Charleston, SC.

Initial certification and training courses commence at noon on Mondays (allowing for people to arrive Monday am), and they conclude at noon on Fridays. The days are full and there are self-assessment tests.

Thereafter, if in good standing on an annual basis, you will be invited to continue your certification each year. This entails attending an annual certification and training event (these events will rotate around the country). The fee to attend is $2,500 and includes:

  • 3 nights’ accommodation at the venue
  • All event food and beverage
  • The full certification and training course
  • All networking events and entertainment
  • All Keynote and Social Guest presentations

"In good standing" refers to the fact that certifications are only renewable if the consultant has abided by the certification agreement.

How Do The Scholarships Work?

At In Place Impact, we believe that there are many people in the world who are passionate about "Making A Profit, While Making A Difference". Specifically, they wish to help eradicate poverty within the marginalized segments of their communities, and they believe this should be done using business and economics. However, they do not have the capital to pay to become certified. In Place Impact has a scholarship program to help qualified people. Existing certified consultants can suggest qualifying people for a scholarship, or, individuals can apply on their own.
