More than 43,000,000 of our children, spouses, parents, and or siblings need to rely on us to provide them with the care they need for their chronic condition. The passion, selflessness, and dedication we show are often unmatched, and although not professionals, many of us are the world’s most experienced in our field of care.
Many of our lives are so full of unhealthy levels of financial, emotional, educational and communal stress that a substantial body of research categorizes over 60% of us as “at-risk” ourselves. In many instances, the harder we fight and try, the more at risk we become. These global statistics fly in the face of other globally accepted research that tells us that the healthier we are, the better the outcomes for the loved one we are caring for.
Therefore, as there are no cures in sight for many of the 8,000 chronic conditions and rare diseases found in the NORD database, better outcomes are the best results we can hope for. To put this in perspective for America, 6 out of 10 adults have at least one chronic condition, and 4 out of 10 have 2. That means over 150,000,000 people require specialized help, products, treatments, and services that are generally very expensive and sometimes hard to access.
Not only are we a forgotten community, but we are also often taken advantage of by companies preying on our desire to find solutions. Well, Impact Life has been designed to empower us to reduce our financial, emotional, communal and educational stresses and, to develop the solutions we so badly need.
