I have taught thousands of people how to profit from their purpose. The classes I have designed have won local, national, and international awards.

From everything I have been exposed to, one thing is clear, the people who face the problems most often have the best solutions. All they need is access to the “Capital(S) they need to bring them to life and scale them.

I have now decided that it is time to truly scale the work I have been doing, and I am going to do it for free. That’s right - free. The classes will be taught as part of the podcast, and all for free.

In 1993 I co-created the first global platform of “Making A Profit While Making A Difference”. This led to the development of Impact Entrepreneurship, and Ownership, Leadership, and Management Through the Lens of Profit for Purpose.

Since then I have started and invested in numerous profit for purpose companies, and have been teaching and mentoring people from every demographic and background to make profit through their purpose. The people I have taught and mentored are changing their own lives, their families members' lives, the lives of many people in their communities, plus humanity and or the environment at large.

I have designed, funded, and helped teach classes at:

2013 - The ImpactX class College of Charleston School of Business (the class became so popular there are now 5 of them)
2016 - Charleston's only free evening class on Impact Entrepreneurship. Over 700 people have taken the class, 70% women, 60% minority, and 50% residing in the most underserved segments of the greater Charleston region. As free evening class held in Charleston.
2021 - Working with Lowcountry Impact, I brought ImpactX to the Al Cannon prison in North Charleston. The recidivism rate in SC is 75% after 4-years. The recidivism rate for graduates of our prison class is 0%
2023 - Again working with Lowcountry Impact, I brought the ImpactX class to our amazing Vets. It is a free evening class held at The Citadel.
2025 - The amazing Ms. Jenny Whittle has taken the ImpactX syllabus and created age appropriate courses for 3rd through 12th grade students, creating the program "Innovate to Graduate".

In each of the examples above, the innovations created by people with lived experiences are incredible. As are many of the companies they launch.

In addition to the above, our entire Impact Economics program, plus all of the classes are being adopted by other towns, cities, and schools, e.g. Muncie Indiana and Ball State.

Given the incredible impact this work has had on so many people's lives, my children have now decided that it is time to truly scale it, and to do it for free. That’s right - free. The classes and the podcasts will all be free. Each class cohort will be 12-weeks, with one 90-minute class per week. We will run 2 or 3 cohorts each year. There will also be a 30 minute podcast each week where I will interview people who have walked the walk, and that have a story to tell about how they are finally profiting from their lived experience and the purpose they developed around it. The podcast will be open to everyone wishing to listen/watch, while class attendance will be capped.

This is an ongoing part of my give back. However, as I am in the process of leading the build of another remarkable purposed based business, this is something that I will be doing on the weekends. This also allows me to accommodate the incredible number of requests I am receiving from people wishing to participate from multiple time zones.
